To discover the wild beauty of the Atlantic coastline in an original way, there’s nothing better than setting off on an adventure along the Vélodyssée, one of Europe’s most beautiful cycle routes. This route along the coast will take you through a variety of landscapes: pine forests, sandy beaches and charming little villages. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely family outing or a day out discovering the treasures of the Médoc, the Vélodyssée is suitable for all levels.

Luckily, the Vélodyssée passes through Le Verdon-sur-Mer, very close to the campsite. Hire your bike and set off on a day or half-day adventure. On your way, take time out to enjoy a refreshing swim or a picnic facing the Atlantic Ocean, or to wander the aisles of the local markets. When you hire a bike from La Pointe du Médoc campsite, you’ll have the freedom to take your time and discover the Médoc at your own pace.

We offer 2 packages for you to choose from, so you can make the most of your holiday at the pace that suits you best. Choose between the full-day package (24 h) or the week-long package! Find the right bike from our wide choice ranging from adult mountain bikes to children’s mountain bikes, from child seats to trailers and various accessories… We can offer you a range of equipment, particularly for your children’s comfort.

Maps with detailed cycle routes are also available from the campsite reception and from nearby tourist offices. What’s more, our team will be able to guide you from the campsite to the cycle paths in complete safety. Come and collect the map of cycle routes and the vélodyssée cycle path directly from the campsite reception.

🕓 Available in our grocery shop 7 days a week in high season (July-August) from 8 am to 1 pm and then from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and from 8 am to 12:30 pm in low season (except Tuesdays).

Note: a deposit will be required when you reserve the bike. Payment can be made by cheque or credit card.
