Sunêlia La Pointe du Médoc and the vineyards of the Médoc
Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, the Sunêlia La Pointe du Médoc campsite is located in a prestigious land of wines. The Médoc is a region endowed with a rich terroir with its internationally renowned vineyards and castles. The strength of this wine region is indeed in the production of exceptional wines. Producing mainly red wines, the Médoc vineyard develops under 8 appellations: Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Estèphe, Moulie-en-Médoc, Listrac-Médoc and Saint-Julien.
Médoc wines are also subject to two classifications:
- the historical classification of 1855 with the great classified growths of Bordeaux (Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Margaux, Château Latour, Sauternes…);
- the more recent one, from 1932, which includes the crus bourgeois.
