And to discover all these riches and these prestigious estates, what better than to criss-cross the region by following the Médoc wine route? From Bordeaux to Pointe de Grave via Pauillac, Margaux or Saint-Estèphe, explore the Médoc vineyard, its vines and its cellars. Stop off at some of the world's most famous estates and castles:

These wineries will offer you a rich program: walk in the vineyards, visit of cellars, cellars, tasting... And for a family outing, some castles even include activities for children to discover the vine!

Château Saint-Hilaire

Located in Queyrac, Château Saint-Hilaire is a magnificent family estate that will surprise you with its diversity and the quality of its wines. To share with you and discover their universe, the owners of the premises offer you a program with:

  • a guided tour of the vats and barrel aging cellars;
  • a tasting of the wines of the estate, wines rewarded with numerous distinctions.

Château Saint-Hilaire also welcomes children with great pleasure, with adapted visits and a space specially equipped to welcome them.

Château Saint-Aubin

In Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac, come and meet the owners of Château Saint-Aubin and discover their vineyard. This estate offers you 22 hectares planted with the six Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernet-Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Carmenère, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The assembly of the fruit of these vines makes it possible to produce a well-balanced wine that combines tradition and modernism. This wine can be kept or drunk young according to taste.

Castera Castle

In Saint-Germain-d'Esteuil, visit one of the oldest wine estates in the Médoc: Château Castera. In this estate with a prestigious past, you will discover an exceptional terroir with its 63 hectares of vines. The owners invite you to discover the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (Médoc variety) grape varieties which produce six very different wines. You can also explore Château Castera with your children. The visits are adapted with pictorial and playful panels so that they can actively participate in the discovery of the places.

The Chateau Carmenere

Come and discover the Château Carménère de Queyrac, an authentic property with a rich family history and high quality standards. You will then find yourself in a unique estate which will offer you rare blended red wines, in particular made from the Carmenère grape variety. Visit the cellars and share a free wine tasting with the owners of Château Carménère.
